A Letter To A Soldier
A Letter To A Soldier
Miles away, for our protection, there resides a family, who never stay off duty, who neither look for day nor for night, who always kept themselves ready for any war either announced or unannounced. They are also people like us, have family like ours and have same heart like ours, the only difference which making them stand on borders is their priority, for them country is their mother and people like them with whom they spent time, they share their moment of fight, sometimes they unite & fight war while sometimes they break apart. Every soldier have their personal life, have their own memories with their beloved ones. All of them receive letters of their families, some shout their problems out while some complaint till when you have to stay out. A letter filled with multiple feelings was recieved by one of soldier Naman.
Naman is captain of Army 32 year old soldier. He received a letter recently of his mother which states "Dear Naman, how you are there? Are you eating well, sleeping well there? We all are fine here and missing you alot. Yesterday while preparing Aloo paratha, I reminded you, I still remember how eager you used, to have that Parathas, my eyes fell with tears, when I was making Aloo Paratha. Your sister graduated with highest number of marks, she was telling that she will always beat you when it comes to studies. She was asking me to give her your football, I somehow managed to keep it away from anyone's sight, but I can't hide it longer, when you'll come, you take it along with you this time. Your father still not taking their medicine at correct time, I am done with reminding them again and again. By the way he is improving, his BP, heart rate, pulse rate even cholesterol is under control. But we are still not allowing them to eat any oily stuff. We all are missing you, we all are seeking our society's gate with a hope that you will come one day, you know, our neighbour Mrs. Dixit has even bought a t-shirt for you with caption soldier written on it. It's high time now, ask your superiors and say them that your family is missing you badly, please allow you to back home for few days". This was the last letter which Naman receives, after receiving this letter an unannounced war happened which has taken up Naman's life, immediately a day after receiving this letter.
