Finally I saw you in front of the operation theatre, I was so elated John my eyes started tearing up with joy, I came running towards you, I was just 5 feet away from you when the doctor came out and said "congrats John your wife has delivered girl baby!"…Did I hear that right? i thought to myself… My tears of joy turned into tears of sorrow, you were no more "My John" but you looked very happy, why would I even spoil your happiness? With my heart broken into pieces I walked away from there.

My friend called me, she asked "where were you?" and said it's gonna take another hour for me to finish the interview... Keeping my pain to myself I wished her all the best and informed her to call me once she was done.

I sat down in the reception... An hour passed, I was sitting there with my eyes closed and my head down, i was recollecting those beautiful days spent with you... There were many people sitting in the reception so it was too noisy, but among thousands of voice I heard that one voice I was longing to hear for years..." I opened my eyes and you along with Sandeep were sitting just 2 chairs before me... You were calling people and sharing the happiness of your new Born's arrival into this world but in few minutes that happiness vanished from your face and you questioned Sandeep "Roslyn will also be happy in her life isn't it?" I was happy that you haven't forgotten me, that second I decided to come talk to you, but your next word stopped me... I heard you say "What if she is still waiting for me?? What if she come in front of me and asked me why I haven’t been waiting for her while she had all these years? I will die if this happens” ... Sandeep was trying to convince you and I couldn’t give you that pain so I decided to walk away from there.

I went back to Punjab... I got busy with my work, I got peace in serving people but nothing could save me from your thoughts... A year passed, my mother wanted me to get married soon, but I wasn't interested she kept searching for a good alliance for me, finally I had to give in for her happiness... I got married, he is a doctor too... He is a nice person it's been 4 years I am married now and I have a 2 year old daughter.

There was silence, again Roslyn broke the silence, she said “I should be thankful to your favourite Riona, it was she who informed me about this get together” John smiled, “you haven't forgotten her yet have you?” Questioned Roslyn raising her eyebrows, seeing that possessiveness again on her face he laughed out.

“Fine John I have to leave, my husband and daughter must be waiting for me” said Roslyn... “Are they here?” Asked John... “They are in the hotel and we have our flight at 7pm today” she replied... John became sad again noticing that Roslyn said “come on John let's take a selfie”.
