"All that glitters is definitely not gold. In reality, many times it is the fake one that glitters more. Even that broken piece of glass, which can do nothing but cut through flesh and make it bleed, will dance with great glory when sunrays fall and dance upon its surface. But that reflection of prismatic colour doesn't change that wounding piece of glass into gold. So, it is rightly and aptly said that 'appearance is just deceptive.'


Many times, people can put up a false show of kindness, charity, love, compassion, respect, and other kinds of virtues. People even get swayed by the artful pretence of such individuals. But time and trials are the best examiners. With time, when trials knock at their door, these people start showing their true colours. Many times, things are not what they seem to be. Most of the time in life, they are covered with false masks, appearances, and faces.


In fact, history has repeatedly proved that people have worn multiple masks in order to reach the higher rungs of success.


Due to false appearances, morally depraved individuals have easily passed as great moralists before the world. Fools have passed as wise, dishonest as honest, and liars as great protectors of truth.


It is, in fact, very easy to fool and misguide people by putting on a cloak of goodness through fine dresses and speeches. People may fall prey to good manners and appearances. The human mind is gullible and foolish. It is often taken captive by what it is shown and doesn't care about what lurks behind it as the truth. Behind the rosy appearance, there may lie a serpent.


Gold shows itself as purer than ever before when tested, and it is the fake one that fails at the slightest touch of the test. So one should use wisdom and discretion to weigh the appearance against what lurks behind as the truth.


Most of the time, people put up a false show of many virtues. They say words they don't mean, they say things they never experienced..."
