Without Her Consent

Withered By-lanes, scratched Crossings,

Steep Ridges, Latched Boundaries...

Were they enough to pin her down ?

Perhaps Yes..., echoed History!

A stride ahead, a stride closer,

Immobile she stood,

Puzzled in her own innocence,

Little she knew,

Her Anatomy would be plundered....

Anatomy I said, and that's what they believed her to be

With a dearth of soul and an object to play,

Her epidermis became their meal for the day...

Carrying wide smiles on their faces,

they showed no mercy,

Wild like animals,

they dived into her,

into 'Her Consent Zone',

Where 'NO Means NO',

But before she could understand this hypothesis,

The terror poisoned her,

Her tears, screams and growls had little influence.....

They kept playing their way,

Until, Until,

She failed to respond,

Until she submitted herself to demise....

Just an 8 year old kid she was,

and she was brutalized....

Yet least satisfied they were,

they fragmented her into pieces,

Firm belief they had - "How Adequate our System Is",

They marched on like warriors,

Justifying their claims.

Today,

On behalf of entire nation,

Let me Ask You,

Yes You, the Custodians of our Constitution, the Wardens of 'Women Empowerment',

What's the Fault of any Girl who has taken birth in our country, or what's the fault of any women who walks past the streets at midnight ???,

Today, we don't need an answer in terms of your consoling tweets or in terms of your applaudable orations,

We need an answer in terms of Your Actions,

In Terms of Respect,

In terms of Justice,

and

Justice must Prevail......... :)
