When It Pours
When It Pours

When it pours,
My heart soars,
Itching to sail the clouds
And weave
Baskets of pride
From the rainbow
Will I find
A pot of gold at the end
Or an angry leprechaun
Green with envy
At my apparent apathy
Dancing at the beat
Of the thunder and lights
Blowing the trees like birthday candles
Creating ripples like a rumor
Seeping in the ground
Disappearing, laying low
Until it was time again.
