Don’t mind me

I don’t mean to get 

In the way. 

I am just here to see

And reflect

Ponder the why, surmise the how

Frame a response, only to 

Forever keep it inside coz

All I have are words

But so does everyone else

Plentiful too, unlike mine.

My words are sparse

Precise perhaps, but 

Maybe a little clinical

It’s not for a lack of emotion

On the contrary, they mask

Hurt and hope, though

Most of all, fear

Of being found naive

And unwanted.
