Valentine Blues

Valentine Blues

She gazed at the sky;

on that moonlit night,

Shuddered and let out a sigh.

Her beauty arrayed;

her thoughts distant strayed,

To the past Valentine’s night.

She felt a tear;

Her heart pierced like a spear,

Remembering the past;

Her broken heart.

On that day gone by,

 When he said goodbye.

She couldn’t cry;

Her eyes felt dry,

In utter misery.

Trembling she stood,

She felt he was rude,

To spoil her Valentine mood.

She knew he was gone,

When she looked at the moon.

Gone right out of her life.

A year’s gone by;

She still cannot cry,

But suffer the Valentine blues.
