TO MY WONDERFUL WIFE

 

A gentle breeze waved her hair that night, 

As we walked together in the dim moonlight.

Hand in hand we held each other so tight;

She was so beautiful, "O what a sight"

 

 By the river we walked through the mystic mist,

Watching the street lights in the river twist. 

My head, I laid on her shoulder bent.

And whispered "you are from God for me sen."

 

We turned to each other midway on our path;

Embraced and felt the beating of hearts. 

Gazing into her eyes so deep;

I whispered "Honey, our love is so sweet."

 

Thirty five years of being married to her,

I never had any cause to fear.

We strove along, year after year.

With lots of joy and full of cheer.

 

I thank the Lord watching from up there,

For this woman so gracious, and full of care. 

Our joys and sorrows together we share,

With our loving children whose love we bear.

 

Always together we know we will be,

With our caring and wonderful children three.

May God keep this family, in the palms of His hands, 

And mould us together according to His plan.

 

When we are called and hear heavenly bells,

We pray that we're taken in Heaven to dwell.
