I believed in love like a sixteen-year-old

And all I wanted was to fall in love once

But then I met you

It was love at first sight for me thence

And I followed you,

My heart and soul in a crazy dance//

I loved you for everything you were

You overlooked everything I was

You ridiculed everything I was

And yet I followed you

Puppy eyed, without a pause//

You led me on wild rides

In my dream world

But still, I followed you

To your first look, I was sold//

I built castles of dreams

As you set out with someone else

My heart was beating with a racing pulse

Is the shattering sound

As my heart broke into pieces

Tiny shreds scattered around

I nurse that pain since that day
