The Window to Light

The room was extremely dark,

Filled with shadows of the past, 

Oh! Those screams of pain,

Held me back again.

The everlasting scar it left, 

The shame I felt, 

Was it all worth it? 

Or it was just a barrier in my brain?

Atlast, I deceived my brain,

Sent all those horrible moments away, 

Few men couldn't bring me shame, 

For they were the ones to blame.

Finally, the barrier was broken, 

My window to light was now open.
