My Mother

From the time I was born,

You held my hand as my mom,

You taught me how to walk,

Mom was the first word,

When I had learned to talk.

You supported me,

As the roots support the tree,

You were always there for me,

When I was in dark,

You guided me to the light.

You held me in your bosom,

Nurtured me with love,

Corrected me when I was wrong,

Appreciated me when right,

You always managed to make me smile.

I cannot compare you to anyone,

Because you are better than anything,

In the world,

Words fail to express,

But the feelings in my heart cannot be suppressed.

You worked hard day and night,

Stayed beside me each sleepless night,

I never heard a complaint from your side,

Cause a mother always knows,

What is right.

Even when I grow big,

You don't need to worry,

I will always be your sweet little kid,

To irritate you with my tantrums,

Yet, love you beyond the world.

I might achieve a lot of things,

But never without a mother like you,

Thank you my dear mom for everything,

I might not say this everyday,

But I thank god for blessing me,

To a mother as great as you.
