Recuperation

Finally, pandemics strike!

Hundreds of golden cities-

And thousands of families.

It etches death and sorrow-

Over the joyful laughter.

Thanatophobia haunts!

The flamboyant days and nights

Of our civilization;

Our innocent kids suffer

From deadly consequences!

We have lost the muse of life-

From cold and cyanosed lips.

Hearts and dreams stop suddenly,

Life becomes suffocated!

Inside the thrombosed lumens.

We've done so many evils,

To our mother and siblings.

It's the time for their revenge!

Now our sons die for our sins;

And merciless insolence.

Finally, pandemics strike!

The pandemic of tears and grief,

The pandemic of loneliness,

The pandemic of aches and blues.

May it be a medical,

Or a spiritual one!

We face these turbulent waves-

With smile and pain, loss and gain.

We are bound to embrace it

According to our Karma!

Nobody can escape from-

The third rule of Sir Newton!

Yet we hide ourselves under-

The quilt of desperate hope;

Yet we weave expectations,

We love every slice of life,

We dream to alter our fate;

We love the moonlit silver-

Even the scorching sunbeams.

We rejoice the southern wind

As well as the thunderstorms.

We dare to rejuvenate

Just like a brave heart orchid-

Incompletely uprooted.

We close our eyes to deny

The fear of the impending end-

Like a rabbit in danger;

We pray to be immortal;

To enjoy the glittering-

The joy of earth and mundane grace.

Only the body gets vanquished;

Not the essence of our life.

Thus these pandemics usher

The self-realization.

Each time pandemics teach us

To live in a better way!
