Uninhabitable Places
Uninhabitable Places
The terrain and the weather,
Decide the places we live in.
Some places, however, are haunted
With familiar sights, shared memories
Faint hints of forgotten scents,
Ghosts of old companions turned strangers;
Young love long withered.
Old songs, dog-eared books
You can’t live in haunted places.
Unless
You haunt them too.
