The Time For Change
The Time For Change
I sit back on my couch
My mind lazed out
Nothing to think, nothing to do
Waiting for a chance to come out of the blue.
A chance to change who I am
The life I live
With not a single achievement
Just a waste of precious moments.
I have heard people say
If you just wait, then one day
The right chance will come to you
Let you start your life anew.
I have often wondered
When this chance would knock
At my open doorstep
Ready to usher it inside.
Will it come as an inheritance?
Or a change of my identity?
Or like the beginning of all great adventures
A friendship with a stranger?
Just as these thoughts creep into my head
The sheer joke of it hits me
None of these will happen
To change my life
If there has to be a change
It has to come from within
