Cocoon

It took me years to come out of the cocoon,

It took me years to express myself.

My talent, my hobby, my well being,

Expressions, happiness, my humbleness.

It took me years to earn this love from humanity,

It took me years to show my caring,

Towards my friends and foe and the needy.

My dedication, lust, and sympathy.

It took me years to come out from the darkness,

It took me years to come to the light.

My body, my willpower, my temperament,

All this gave me strength.

It took me years to feel the beauty in and around,

It took me years to recognize nature's creation.

My faith, my love for all made me do this,

That made me believe in God's beauty, in things big and small.

It took me years to gain the faith of everyone,

It took me years to prove myself.

Now I could do the things as and when the time comes,

For God is always behind me to help.
