The Strange Encounter

The Strange Encounter

I wondered past a lonely grave,

I could feel the terror and scare

It felt like someone was following me

Or probably trying to tell me something.

I walked slowly, wondering and wandering

Crushing the delicate maple leaves

That had fallen beneath my feet

I could feel lonesomeness!

The moon shone above me,

Creating a luminous light

All around me,

And, just at the moment, I heard the wolf growl and scowl

Clouds floated, the sky became

Darkened as before,

And, I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder

And it was a phantom!

"I am a lonely and dead phantom," He Said with an intriguing smile on his face,

"I lost my beloved," He told me,

Sadly again.

I widened my eyes

He became suspicious, and told, "Don't be spooked out! I won't harm you,"

"Could I trust him?" This question lit up everywhere in my soul, through and through.

As if reading my thoughts, he told me,

"Yes, you can trust me!"

I still looked, confused.

He still tried to console me, though.

"I appear in front of every person

Who wanders here, and tell them this

The very sad story of mine!"

He told me.

I asked him the reason for the same.

He told me that, "I love sharing my

Sadness with other alive people!

Some Run away, while some are like you, who

Listen to me patiently! After all, I wasn't Loved by people in my past life!"

I nodded at him, trying to console him.

"Where is your beloved?" I asked.

"Just like me, beneath this green grass,

Dead and silent!"

With that, he disappeared into a thin

Air and that left me terrified.

I thought I was probably gone nuts,

So I hit myself on the head.

That's when I noticed,

I'd hit myself in real life,

But all of that talk with the phantom,

Was nothing but just a strange dream!
