THE SO- CALLED OPTIMISTS

Life is beautiful--- They say...

The so-called OPTIMISTIC PEOPLE...

And I try to find the truth about it...

And keep trying to...

But find no clue.....

I pondered over the days and nights...

And weeks and months and years...

I tried to sneak into it, to find the truth about their perception...

I can feel its beauty while I look at my MOTHER.....

And when I get to believe that...

Those around me --- drag me back...

Then I feel, they may be right, but incomplete in what they mean to say...

"Life is beautiful"--- they say...

When they mean to say, "Life is a beautiful rose with lots of prickly thorns."

The so-called OPTIMISTIC PEOPLE.....

Who overlooks the thorns while looking at the beautiful rose.....

And when tired over the trials, quite dejected and confused...

I look at them-- only to hear.....

"Life is a struggle"-- they say...

The so-called OPTIMISTIC PEOPLE.....

And I try to find the truth about it.....

And keep trying to...

But find no clue.....

I pondered over the days and nights...

And weeks and months and years...

And then I feel, they may be right, but incomplete in what they mean to say...

"Life is a struggle"--- They say...

When they mean to say, "Life is a never-ending struggle."

The so-called OPTIMISTIC PEOPLE...

Who overlooks the frequency of trials they undergo...

And thussss..... I stopped pondering and trying to be OPTIMISTIC myself.....

Trying to smile---- without a reason...

Trying to be happy---- without a cause...

Trying to be contented ---- without having much...
