An Ode To My Teachers

Going down memory lane...

I found a fact- so clear and plain.

From the first day of kindergarten...

To where I stand today...

Some angels I found...

With magical wands.

Their faces keep changing...

With the sacred souls remaining.

Trying to teach us...

What is right and what is wrong?

What is a story and what is a song?

Earth is round and the trees grow on the ground.

The sky is vast, stars twinkle and a planet revolves...

And how life evolves...

They taught us A, B, C...

And of course Chemistry.

They told me there are numbers...

Called odd, even or prime numbers.

They explained addition, subtraction, multiplication and division...

And that the government can be formed with a coalition.

They say there are Parts of Speech...

And all living things breathe...

And when I lifted the veil...

To see the face of the angels.

I found my teachers...

Gracefully standing.

Teachers fill our minds with wisdom and knowledge.

They are kind, always stand by our side...

Give us hope in life.

A parent is the second teacher...

And the teacher is the second parent.

Parents give us life...

Teachers show us the path of life.

Thank you teachers for everything...

Without you all-- we wouldn't have learned anything.
