INTERNET ADDICTION

"Internet addiction "- the elders call it...

For them it's a disease.

I feel it to be a natural urge...

Like the hunger pangs I agree.

Without internet...

I feel to be at siege. 

Every fraction of a second, I feel the urge...

While I sleep, my phone on the bed I keep.

Online classes turned out to be a boon...

Using the internet, from the morning till the noon. 

Mum won't scream at this point..

As the classes won't let her disappoint.

I agree, it's a time- waster and causes distractions. 

Still! I can't reduce my addiction. 

Cyber crime, hacking and bullying...

To me, is spine chilling. 

I want to live a life free of internet...

But restricting myself  is a challenge, I bet.

At times, I long to play...

In the open lawns.

Skipping and cycling in the playgrounds. 

The pandemic and lockdown,

Drew me close to the internet...

And off my regular routine I went. 

I wish, I could get a magical spell...

       "ABRACADABRA "

And everything gets well.

Internet should be restricted in my life...

So that my life would be free of strife.

All the goodness I want to derive...

Controlling my urge is what I should strive.

Internet is no doubt beneficial...

Using it in a proper way is crucial.
