The Mischievous Smile
The Mischievous Smile
As I sit to write today, with a paper, ink, and quill,
Down my spine runs a very sharp chill!
‘Coz today I am about to reveal
A secret that lies deep in my heart,
That I often dream of an old castle,
Down a lonely road somewhere afar….
As I enter the castle, the old door creaks,
The wind howls and the windows bang,
Cobwebs cover the empty space,
In a grand hall where once angels sang.
As I climb the stairs up to a lone door,
And open it fearing what my eyes will meet,
A sparkle of precious rubies, emeralds, and diamonds,
Fill the room, and fragrance sweet.
As the morning sun peeps through my window,
And wakes me up the next day,
I remember the mysterious treasure that I saw,
And it makes me smile the whole day!
