She

She

There she stood, bold and gallant;

Who makes my life, my sphere complete,

And I can’t outlast it.

And I deem, back to the day,

I met her in my biology class.

I knew well who I was –

But not till she enunciated.

Myths and legends and stories,

Don’t tell us what it’s like;

To be in love and to be loved.

She knows what’s right and what’s wrong,

For her and whom she loves.

For she was efficacious and stalwart.

The hour I still harbor, when I almost lost her.

Even when I vamoosed her annihilated,

She didn’t scruple to rescue me;

From the jeopardy of my life.

She’d stood amongst my kind,

Who were heartless and imperious.

Even they’d found her bizarre,

And had to deviant crestfallen.

We’d been accompanied by ‘her’ friends.

She brought us together, the kinds,

Who’d always been enemies?

How venturesome she is, I’ll tell you.

She’s stood there, slicing her arm,

To defend the ones guarding her.

Finally, the day came, we’d decided,

After a dragged out and kill time night;

And her look dazed me!

After centuries of dwelling worldwide,

I found someone who’d accepted,

For who I was, for who I am;

Without skepticism.

Again I abandoned her, to agonize alone,

For I thought it’d been her decision,

But I didn’t savvy her motherly affinity.

Ploddingly I fathomed her state,

But the “thing” was killing her.

Yet she’d survived as she’d said.

My menage’s perfect, for my daughter came.

And my wife? She too had a new birth.

This time, she fought alongside.

Protecting and “shielding” us all.

Her audacity, valor, love,

And endearment, makes me stand;

Embracing the beauty of the –

Breaking dawn after the twilight!
