That Ride
That Ride
The adrenaline rush was high,
For; I was about to fly.
I became adamant,
For; that ride was an enchant.
While waiting along the queue,
I never had thought-
I’d find you!
I realized taking my seat,
That ride wasn’t a treat.
But what was done, was done.
‘cause now, I couldn’t run.
At once, my swirled.
Heart came into the mouth,
As we went down unbridled!
That felt like the last plunge.
Eyes closed, I waited for ‘it’ to lunge.
Surprisingly, the panic went.
‘Was that what peace meant?’
And then we were decelerating.
My eyelids flipped open-
To the distant wild shouting.
We’d made through the ride,
Overcoming our fright.
I twisted in my seat,
Only to see our eyes meet!
Not only that was the case.
The connection that sparked,
That was another new phase.
The fear I had felt,
Did just melt.
Was is that sign:
Your hand in mine?
