The Memorable Wedding

I went for a wedding to a far town,

Wearing a tunic and a long gown.

Bored I sat in the car,

Waiting for one or two hours.

I reached there with a smile on my face,

What a hefty sum was spent I gazed!

There, there were many dishes in the stalls,

Gradually I went to each one and gobbled them all.

And there was a young man rocking the stage,

People were hooting all around I got into a rage

It was freezing cold I had Goosebumps all over,

I was shivering I wanted to wear a pullover.

Then

I stepped on the stage I wanted to sing,

Some songs were soft and some were rocking

Then we saw the groom and the bride,

To meet them I tried.

Now it was the time for the wedding garland,

All the functions were according to their trend.

Thereafter they got engaged in seven pious circles,

Appearance of both of them were special.

Now the bride cried and hugged her father and mother,

Their child was now bride of someone another.

Seeing her I also began to weep,

Now it was the time to return and sleep.
