An Ode to Mothers
An Ode to Mothers
This poem of mine is based on a recent incident,
To penetrate straight into your heart is its intent.
I was a bit ill, down with cold,
Therefore to stay at home mumma told.
I was stopped from going to school,
So I shouted on her,
Forgetting that what she suggested was for my own good,
Being a true mother
She rushed to work, feeling bug as she must have felt,
I stayed at home,
My condition detriorated
I remembered her advice,
And did regret.
Minutes converted to hours
& she returned back,
;
At that instant, of mixed emotions, she seemed a sack.
In walking up to me she was brisk,
Hugged me tightly,
Putting her health at risk.
"Mumma you will catch a cold", out of guilt I muttered
And after her reply, I couldn't help but burst into tears
She said "Oh, dear this way is the best,
to catch a cold and get some rest"
Mothers work vigorously like a machine,
But sometimes we act so mean.
Mothers are so emotional, and way too cute,
This is an ode to all mothers out there,
A small tribute!!
