Lockdown Diaries

Because of the outbreak of Covid 19,

The country is suffering from lockdown,

I cannot go to the school and market,

And even not wander at the park in the town.

In my home, I am confined,

When all my kith and kin are home quarantined,

I have a thought in my mind,

That when will we be back to normal,

When will the virus decline?

When will the schools reopen?

Learning and teaching everything online.

For using the laptop with my family I fight,

But the lockdown has gifted me with long and undisturbed nights.

Though the whole night I comfortably doze,

But life is monotonous when cinemas are closed.

I long for that family outing,

And wearing a mask all day long is so irritating!

Life has come to a standstill,

I wish corona would just be cured by taking some pill.

For everyone’s health, I pray,

Be home; Be safe that’s all I can say!
