The Man who built my wings

The Man who built my wings

2 mins
70

I walked through walls of glass and steel,

A silent soul, too scared to feel.

But there he stood, so calm, so wise,

A thousand storms behind those eyes.

No chaos shook his steady grace,

No fear could carve upon his face.

Yet somehow, when I stood nearby,

He'd blush, he'd stammer, lose his sigh.

He scolded me when I fell weak,

With fire that made my spirit speak.

"I'm building dreams, not just a team,

And you're the first within my scheme."

His voice, both sharp and wrapped in care,

Would push me when I thought unfair.

"I see the leader you're meant to be—

But how will the world if you don't believe?"

He fought for me behind closed doors,

Against the ones who blocked my course.

He stood when others tried to break,

My silent soldier, for my sake.

When whispers from my past would rise,

He’d shield me from their poison lies.

With piercing eyes, he'd scan the room,

His presence breaking every gloom.

"You're safe with me, don't turn your head—

No ghost can touch you when I'm ahead."

He trusted words no one else heard,

Believed in me with every word.

Even when the world would doubt,

He'd look at me and cast them out.

His fingers brushed against my skin,

A secret spark that lived within.

His sexy smile, so calm, so rare,

Could ease the pain I'd always wear.

When I would stumble, when I'd fall,

He'd catch me—firm, yet soft in all.

"Excuses won't build what we're meant to grow—

I'm building a kingdom, and you'll lead the show."

His dream became the breath I took,

His plans for me, in every look.

He made me believe I could touch the skies,

Through him, I saw myself with brand-new eyes.

He pulled my chair, he'd hold the door,

Made me feel I could be more.

Not just a girl lost in the crowd,

But a woman fierce, a name out loud.

Through scolds, through smiles, through whispered grace,

He carved my name in his secret place.

A fighter, a friend, a lover so true,

The man who built what I never knew.

No storm too wild, no past too deep,

He broke the chains I couldn't keep.

He loved me right, he loved me best,

A silent war fought in his chest.

Though the world may never see his fight,

He's the man who gave me wings to flight.

Not fate, nor time, nor days ahead—

Could change the way our hearts were wed.

If there's a heaven in this life’s scheme,

He was the angel behind my dream.
