The Loving Bird

Is it a beautiful morning or regular dawn?

I woke up with the thought of that creature moan.

They swoop down together and chirped to the extent,

One always was a listening ear and the other endlessly vent.

Then they flew one after another to fulfill the dreams they viewed together...

Days passed but they did not change, we humans evolved to be a learned sage.

Last evening, by my window side, one flew down to my surprise...

Her eyes sobbed and wanted to express, 

She is all alone, her ears deaf and depressed...

I stood up and waited till it was dark, 

She came twice, all alone but her eyes with some spark...

My eyes are all wet, heart sinks down

But the soul within is at peace and strong.

The Agapornis which remained alone will be elevated with the grief,

Yes… the grief that she had now owned with pride.

Today again I shall be at my window side, to glance the love birds humming in the ride.

Will she find her soulmate, which she lost in the storm, last night...?

I wish, if not then she should learn to live with all her might.
