The Incident

A sunny day it was,

I went on a trip with my friends for a cause.

A cause - to celebrate my last few days,

Last few days in their country to blaze.

So I chose something I fear the most,

An activity in water - which seems like a ghost.

Rafting it was along with my gang,

Get get ready everyone was with a bang.

We started our journey and in the middle of the water were we,

The sky was clean and sun shining in glee.

Waves of water stroking my face,

What a great feeling it was like a bless.

Laughter, giggles and talk,

Didn't notice the blunder through hawk.

A tidal bore it was very harsh,

Sunk us in water in a single wash.

Everyone drowning, screaming and yelling,

And the giant waves continued coming.

I could not breathe, could not see,

Hoping for a magic and to flee.

And then something stroke me like never before,

No one's gonna help you here my lore.

Soon I realized am wearing a life jacket,

Tried pushing my legs through the aqua racket.

I failed - the water pushed me down,

But I couldn't give up now or else I would drown.

Gave it a hard try with all my mystic powers,

I succeeded and felt like a king who conquers.

Now it was my turn - I shouted help,

And saw a helping hand with kelp.

Held it and pushed myself up,

This made me discern that anything can be my tea of cup.

This incident made me realize no problem is greater than our will to survive.

Accidents happen without a prior notice so set a disclaimer in your head

'Kuch bhi hojaye, I will fight to live

To live a life which is worth a mil'
