The He-Woman
The He-Woman
I am the He- Woman,
Don't confuse me with the He-Man,
You can find my likes,
At the signals begging,
As you drive.
I dress up like a woman,
But I confuse you,
With my voice,
With my mannerisms.
But do you think,
I like being a freak???
But do you think,
I relish facing your disgust????
You so-called normal people.
I have been around,
For ages and generations,
As murals and guards,
And as mythological characters.
Sometimes you invite me,
To bless your new generation,
With strength a
nd good luck,
At others, you abhor me,
For being a freak.
You don't allow me in your society,
As a part of you,
As one of you,
You discard me as the "curry leaf',
Something used when required,
And discarded once not in use.
I don't want to be different,
I want to be a part of you,
Accepted as one of you,
You so-called normal people.
But I am proud of what I am,
I am the He Woman,
With the best of both.
You don't like me,
For you can't be like me.
A part of you but apart from you,
THE HE-WOMAN
