The Hands Which Give Us!

We all have our meals everyday,

Everyday we have our fill,

But do we remember the hands,

That give us the fill?

     We all want everything organic,

     And have such for our kids,

     And their's to come,

     But do we bother of how we get it,

     Whence does it come.

There is someone out there,

Who starts the day,

With a hope in his eyes,

And a sickle his hands.

     He who prays for a bit of sun,

     And an abundance of rain,

     He who depends on his God,

     More than any of us.

He who gives us lots,

And wants for those back home,

He who smiles at his first sapling,

After the abundant rain

Like a father,

Who smiles at his newborn suckling.

      Come!

      Give him a thought,

      Who puts the food on our table,

      Maybe without some for his own.

Let us hope and pray,

That his prayers are answered,

For God is in his Heaven,

But sends him to give us,

The food on our tables.
