The Generation
The Generation
We are the generation
of exhausted but fighting,
of holding onto our wrecked lives,
of drowsy eyes and unstable mind.
We are the generation
of tormenting thoughts in fidgety nights,
of popping in pills to be able to survive,
of drinking alone and drowning in smoke to withstand the plight.
We are the generation
of over thinking and bleeding in cuts,
of panic attacks out of the blue,
of lonesome feeling without no clue.
We are the generation
of diffidence and judgments,
of hiding pain behind the smile,
of cracked voice and dark circles.
We are the generation
of skipped meals and skipped exercises,
of punching walls and breaking glasses,
of bruises and scars.
We are the generation
of broken glasses,
of broken hearts...
