The Extraordinary Cat
The Extraordinary Cat

There once was a cat named Lou,
Who wore a top hat and bowtie too.
He’d dance on the roof and sing to the moon,
In a polka-dot suit that made people swoon.
Lou fancied himself quite the swanky gent,
With a monocle that was always bent.
He’d sip on tea from a dainty cup,
While his fish tank sat with the goldfish up.
He’d juggle some sausages, make them fly,
Then chase them down with a gleam in his eye.
His neighbors would watch with a mixture of awe,
As Lou took a bow with an exaggerated paw.
Each morni
ng he'd prance to a classical beat,
In tap shoes that clicked on the city street.
He’d tip his hat to the puzzled parade,
While making a statue of mashed potatoes displayed.
One day, he declared with a flourish so grand,
That he’d cook a banquet for all of the land.
But when it came time for the grand feast,
He served up a buffet of scrambled beast.
So here’s to dear Lou, with his antics so fine,
In a world of the silly, he’ll always shine.
For life is absurd, a marvelous ride,
And Lou’s top-hatted humor is bona fide.
