The English Experience
The English Experience
A bucket list of attractions to be seen.
A place unlike the land of the Queen.
The castles, the museums, the architectures so pristine,
The pleasant climate and the lush countryside so green.
The lazy beautiful days and the crazy party nights,
The fun on Christmas eve under the display of lights,
The hail, the rains and the snow so white,
Reminiscence of unforgettable sights.
The different cuisines, the delicacies of chicken
And the random recipes that we cooked in the kitchen.
The countless movies we watched in our places,
And the friends that we made of new faces.
The extended studies in the silent libraries,
The eleventh-hour project jitters and worries,
The hackneyed prayers in the exam hall,
Yet we braved the pressure and managed to stand tall.
When I look back at these amazing experiences,
These priceless, vivid English memories;
All my heart desperately wishes, is an encore
And a hope of a reunion to celebrate just like before.
