The Couple

A two-year-old journey,

Looking back memories flash like it happened yesterday,

An extrovert met an introvert,

He loved her expressions,

She loved his calmness and gentlemanliness,

Within a flash of a second,

Cupid struck and they fell in love.

 

For the person who said, Happily married is an Oxymoron,

Deserves a golden throne,

To grow older together and successful, giving grip hands, when one falls,

A shoulder of support to console, a blanket of warmth to keep cozy,

Marriage is a big inning, an emotional commitment,

Not as simple as tagging a facebook life event

And posing couple pictures like a diva.

 

People may come or go, together we face the world,

Your achievements make me feel the victory of the world,

And I’m there for you, even when the whole world turns against you.

Even a bad day, sleeping beside you gives me peace,

And waking up next to you, makes me look forward to the day.

 

As we are entering the next phase in life,

It’s a happy feeling when junior plays inside me,

She toddles, swims, jumps in me,

She is a naughty cutie who steals my food and energy,

I have strictly told her,

Dad is waiting outside to deal with your naughtiness, mommy needs rest.

 

Every tough day, I tell myself,

Far in the future, we will live in a small farmhouse,

Keep holding hands, feel the cold breeze,

As Grandpa and Grandma,

I sleep on your legs peacefully and get into deep dreams.

 

P.S : I won't say “ I love you” as there are more emotions and this phrase is not enough to express my feelings to you.
