The Change I Want
If I were a superhero
Able to do things that I cannot do now
I have a very long list of things that I want to change
The world should be rid of hunger and malnutrition
Greed, jealousy, oppression, discrimination,
Disease, poverty, crime, exploitation and injustice
All human beings to be treated equally by every other human being
All living beings respected and allowed to live their lives
All gifts of nature to be loved and protected
Every day should be welcomed by one and all
tify">And every night, everybody should be able to sleep peacefully
There should be no political borders
No discrimination on the basis of
Nationality, region, religion, caste, creed or gender
Love should be the only language linking everybody
People should build bridges and not walls
The planet should be the heaven
Which each of us can enjoy during our lifetime
Instead of dreaming of a heaven above
To which we may or may not go
And of which none of us know!
