The Black Butterfly
The Black Butterfly
The black butterfly
It psst me
I looked but it didn't say
Its endless fluttering
Something was not okay
Let's get out, it said
I'll show a better life
Where none ever dies
And smiles stick on closed eyes
I said what it knew
Better live for good than die for bad
Better stay for love than to run from sad
The black butterfly
It psst me
I sprinkled water on it
It sat beside on the flower
It told me about the life outside
Held out a hand and I smiled
Near my face it caught a drop
I said that's water but it did not stop
The wings closed and a smile to feign
The black butterfly
It psst again
Tilted and came near
Touched my cheek and jumped on water
On the flower again it stayed
I'll come back, it said
I told her to go away
Nothing will ever change
I am not coming with you
"But I am here to be, be with you and take you along one day"
Live where you know is better, you may go and never come back
It flew and waved see you tomorrow
I asked why
It smiled
Crossed its hands on the back of her head and said
"love".
