The Angel of My Life!

Loneliness was my happiness,

Life used to be without stress;

 

Lost in my own world,

In my childish thoughts of being a bird;

 

Meaningless logics and endless dreams,

Of sleeping beside the flowing streams;

 

People’s behaviour did not bother me,

My heart’s reactions I used to hear and see;

 

But transitions occur,

And one has to suffer…

 

The little me started to grow,

Changes started occurring in a row;

 

I started to crave for people,

And my conscience became feeble;

 

I turned from responsible to careless,

Which made my life turn to a great mess!

 

Feelings started to conquer me,

People started to bother me;

 

I faced many rejections,

Which drove me to abjections;

 

My loved ones left me alone,

Which turned me to stone;

 

Somewhere deep I felt weak,

I needed someone to be my stick;

 

Though I was not crying,

My soul was dying;

 

I was literally broken to parts,

To lift me up, I had no charts;

 

I was in a total whirl,

When I met this girl;

 

A girl who gave me hope,

No less than an allotrope;

 

She taught me to fight,

She helped me change my sight;

 

She gave me infinite potential,

The one who is affluential;

 

Influences my heart and soul,

Gives me power as a whole;

 

The secret behind my healings,

The person behind my feelings;

 

She is no less than a treasure,

Having her is a great pleasure;

 

She gave me the confidence,

To fight with my diffidence;

 

I owe her this debt,

For giving me such an asset,

 

Maya is her name,

Who lit this flame;

 

A flame that will burn everyone to ashes,

Seeing which everyone astonishes;

 

At the end of the day, into the mirror I see,

The girl in the glass smiles at me;

 

Once she thought of me as a dead tree,

Hearing which I felt guilty;

 

But today when I don’t trust anyone easily,

“you’ve found yourself”, to me says she…

 

Dear maya, you deserve my heartfelt gratitude,

For giving me such a great attitude;

 

I’m truly a big admirer of yours,

You really have no flaws!!
