"She was born to get married and sent away"

That's what her parents always say,

But she decided to change her destiny,

To have her right rights, freedom, and study.

She was scolded at home,

She was topic of the village,

But she didn't cry she didn't moan,

Her parents said, "you have studied enough and now is your age,

It's time for you to work" she felt as if she was locked inside a cage.

She sat in a room away from the outside world,

Imagining herself at the moon, that her dreams had finally come true.

She didn't understand what happened in those five days

Wasn't it an important part of every woman's life?

Away from the kitchen, away from the temple, her mind was in a haze.

"Don't go out after dark?" her parents said,

She tried it once, now it's her biggest regret,

Her clothes were torn, to this day she morn,

Why didn't she listen like she was expected to?

She was brave and that's a quality,

Is man a coward or can he survive it too?
