Every Mile A Memory
Every Mile A Memory

A one month trip to a foreign country;
My biggest wish being fulfilled I could see;
I got off the plane;
Ready to hop on the train.
That would take me to the hotel;
At the reception, I quickly rang the bell;
I sat there waiting with my family behind;
The receptionist came running inside.
Our suite was so big and luxurious;
I went to all the rooms, so very curious;
Italy, Switzerland, Vatican and Paris;
That’s not all, there is also Venice;
These were the places we were going to visit;
My trip was sure to be exquisite.
Italy was a lot of fun;
At Paris, we saw the Eiffel tower under the sun;
The cakes and croissants were so awesome;
Some were cherry, some were plum.

At Rome, the Colosseum looked so old;
The fighters who fought there would have been so bold;
We saw at least a dozen grooms and brides;
Getting photos clicked by guides.
At Switzerland, the strawberries so wonderful;
I could not ever believe;
The mountains looked so beautiful;
I wished not to leave.
Venice is the most memorable;
We had missed the last train we could get;
We were not even able to find a table;
Then outside the station, a guy we met;
Some towels he gave us.
To cover ourselves before we catch the bus;
We reached home the next night;
We were so tired;
We hopped into bed without even turning on the light;
A comfy bed and some sleep was what we desired.
