With voice thwarted, using force,
That has been their miserable life's course.
Wishes, desires never able to see light;
Maybe, even they aren't aware of their plight!
Ever wondered, how lucky we are?
For us, no damn thing is far!
Maybe it's time we acknowledge our privileges;
Maybe it's time we reconsider our pages.
The corrupt erases the hapless weak;
They have no shelter, no haven to seek.
When you've mouths to feed, with zilch in hand,
Humans are the most helpless creatures on land!
Only fellow feelings can save the day,
It doesn't cost much to let all have their say.
With tears in eyes, they never demand much;
All they need is a kind re-assuring touch.
"It's a competitive world ", the callous argue;
"The weak ought to perish! ", is their view.
Maybe it's time, we learn to love a little more;
The battered earth needs it now than ever before …
