Stuck Up

On an island, not far

Was someone I thought I knew.

 Went up to ask him where I was,

But he remained as quiet as still water.

At first his silence left me bewildered

Not knowing what to do. 

Then he finally spoke up and retorted

 "Excuse me, do I know you?"

It was kind of a death blow for me

'Cause he was as close as any other friend

But when he asked me so,

It was like the END

Then came a time, when he was lost

 Came up to me and asked for help 

I was just glad, that our friendship

Was back on track

Very soon there happened something

I was unaware of

Kinda confusing

Kinda saddening

That's when I was enlightened

"Never choose a friend without complete understanding. 

Never lose a friend because of a small misunderstanding. "
