Breakdown

Texts brought you to me

Never knew what it was going to be.

Now that I come to think of it,

It's all piecing together bit by bit.

What started as banter

Turned out quite well so to speak.

Four years passed by,

So down the memory lane we shall take a peek.

COVID had us glued to screens 

And we definitely clicked instantly 

For hours and hours, 

Talking to you made it even more serene.

Your value for friendship,

Was a quality not owned by many.

So I tried to gauge you,

To look for more if any

Had a backlash once 

But did so much to keep you at my side

What I got in return

Was all the more pain to hide.

We tried and tried and 

More so we thought we could fix

I never knew 

The difference between the real and the reel mix.

Loved you even after I was hurt

Thinking everything would settle down 

But little did I know 

That I would end up in a complete breakdown.
