Winter

The first breeze as October ends,

A flake of snow thus descends.

The most awaited season all year,

You can sure say winter's here.

People preparing hot cocoa and eggnogs,

The aroma spreads far and near.

The season of sharing and caring,

Hey, winter's here, there's no time for despairing.

Snowmen and angels adorned by kids,

As far as the eye can see.

The season of fun and games,

Just look at the goal that winter aims. 

The merry times of gifts and joy,

Santa flying over the city of Troy.

Fireplaces ablaze and stockings hung tight,

Twiddling one's thumbs for winter to work its magic at night.

Music and carols are sung all round,

To the birth of the divine, it is bound.

So bundle up, scooch in,

And let the story of winter begin...
