Stolen Romance
Stolen Romance
A bucket full of summer is spread under the sky,
Spilling sleepy afternoons as far as one can spy!
Trees laden with boughs are a sight for sore eyes,
Dazzling yellow streets glow under the azure blue skies!
The morning mists have melted in the sparkling sunlight,
Dozing on the branches, birds take a break from flight!
The leaves softly rustle in the balmy breeze,
And drift down lazily in twos and threes.
Quiet leafy lanes hide a story or two,
Of a stolen romance before the world butts through!
Summery afternoons are perfect for a lovers tryst,
To hide behind the knotty trunks to steal a kiss!
The midsummer sun winks from above,
And showers its blessings on their true love.
A soft drizzle settles on them for a moment or two,
Before the bright sky turns back to luminous blue!
Under the sun they meet and carouse,
To be forever in love, they both avow!
As the sky envelopes them in its heat,
They are fulfilled and feel complete!
