Star-Gazer
Star-Gazer
Keep your chin up little star-gazer
At the worlds above our own,
And that is worth so much
More than you have ever known.
Because every sun and solar flare
Are made up just like me and you,
And if they are reason to wonder
Then I promise that you are too.
But look out little star-gazer
Until nothing is left to be unseen,
And know that there is not a patch of sky
Where nobody elses' eyes have ever been.
That the darkness that unfolds you
Holds countless others star-lit hearts
And with this you can stand together
Even though you live lifetimes apart.
Now be brave little star-gazer
Because the sky is growing light,
And courage shines like moon beams
When it is pulled out of the night.
But just like the people who gazed before you
Know when your heart is full of fear,
And that it is always in your darkness
That the stars will start to really appear.
