Soul Mates

We walked together holding hand-in-hand,

Against the wishes of the rest,

Blissful in each other's company,

Destiny had brought us the best.

You were always beside me,

And nothing else did I care,

If all the hardships were to befall me,

Hardly did I fear.

Then came the period in our life,

That we shall always treasure,

The plunge that we had taken in our youth,

Together we reared a family,
