So Sorry Daddy........

Corona is deadly,

Do not take it lightly,

At times it holds on tightly,

And it takes lives untimely!

It happened to my Dad,

He was all well and fine,

A small fever and fatigue,

In hospital just for a week!

The virus overpowered him,

He lost his battle with it,

It was too sad to let him go,

Oh, Lord! Why did it happen so?

He had told me that the end is fixed,

For all of us once we are born,

But, don't know how it will happen,

And in two months time, he may not be around!

He knew that this year may be his last,

He mentioned this quite many times in different ways,

He was tired of sitting at home all on his own,

Being a people's man, he wanted to meet a few at least!

Sorry, daddy, we could not save you,

From that really deadly virus,

We couldn't even be by your side,

In the last week of your life!
