A year has passed by, again 8th March the Special Day for ladies has knocked our doors,

Be prepared Oh dear Ladies to be greeted and pampered on this International Women’s day.

Cards, Gifts, Greetings, Parties shall be pouring in for you from everywhere.

Everyone, who could make something out of this day, shall leave no stone unturned to mint money on this day,

Corporate indulge in organizing special activities to make their women employees feel special

Even your cunning boss who just can’t stand for what you are; would manage to forge a smile to wish you your special day.

 

'Women Empowerment' becomes the word of the day, the entire world seems to be enticed with this word to such an extent that this word loses its meaning by the end of the day.

It feels like the validity of giving respect to women, showing gratitude, etc comes with 1-day validity only.

Here the plight is the very next day the layer of the fake respect gets shredded by the society, things take u-turn the way it was before.

 

The stigma of the society is still girls are deprived of education, not allowed to live their dreams; their wings are cut off by society even before they begin their journey, unfortunately, it’s an endless list.

And just to make things worse the list of horrifying things done to them by a certain part of the society manages for any soul to cry.

Even if they break the chains and prove themselves at the corporate level and break the glass ceiling

They are often tabbed as carrier oriented, ambitious women, not family-oriented women or she earned the position just because she is a Woman.

And we all know how society still looks upon the homemaker aka 'housewife' this needs no explanation.

 What society doesn’t realize that women are one of the strongest and powerful creations of God.

History has proven the valor of women in the past, be it mentally, emotionally, and physically

Why not give real meaning to this day by supporting her in whatever role possible be at home or office.

By giving her the respect she deserves, by acknowledging her efforts, by loving and caring her, by giving her a chance to prove herself.

Give wings to her and see how far she would fly, let her embark on this journey and discover herself.

Only Empowered women can bring change in the society. Let her live her dream; walk with pride and confidence. 

Let the phoenix rise from the ashes and touch the sky

On this Women’s Day, make a promise to support and love the women in your life not only today but always.

Only then in the true sense, Women’s Day shall find true meaning.
