Science Over The Ages
Science Over The Ages
It all began with a question,
What are we? How were we made?
And the question is still on,
With billions living, zillions dead.
The first answer was bones,
That hid beneath the flesh,
All of it came to being, only
when we had God's grace.
But then we got to know,
Even bones don't always thrive,
At the end of their journey
They too merge to the fab five.
Soon the earth, water, fire
Air and amber became the set,
Elements with which you,
Could make anything you bet.
But soon it hit us men, that
There were hundreds within,
And came the periodic table
With many blanks to fill in.
Next, we found the atom,
The one that made it all,
Sorry, you can not see it,
For it is beyond small.
Soon we got to particles,
Boson, meason, fermion,
The standard model, they call,
Yet, one was out of the union.
Gravity they said, had no
Particle to communicate,
The one they said could be
Was too hard to locate.
Then came along the strings,
Vibrations that beget nature,
Each with a unique wriggle,
They decide our very future.
From god to god's particle,
We have come a long way,
Chasing a few questions,
That science still asks today.
