The night we had rejoiced,

Under our blankets,

Shivering

Yet the light gleamed

It was your message to bid me bye

Neither could I still leave

Nor you.

When I looked at the moon,

After years,

The same moon,

I thought you were looking at,

And we, under our covers,

Were in the Denver

Of our moonlight years.
